Oh, I understand. Soccer isn't big here so I guess meeting those players here wouldn't be huge. I guess meeting one of our famous baseball players would just be another story also. As for tennis, well its not too big here, but every time is special for me.
I know what you mean... when I went to the States and told a friend I met Pelé he didnt undestood how big it was, then just to explain it to him he said that meeting Pelé would be the same as meeting Babe Ruth... and it's almost like that. But meeting a big tennis player would be awsome!!

How can you like River Plate and Boca Juniors players?
Just an advice: never say something like that in Argentina (and it's Fernando Gago )
I like Football not because I have a crush with a player or something like that, I like it because I love sports!
The best football player right now is Ronaldinho.

YES, YES, YES..... never thought I would hear that from an Argetinian!!!
you should talk to Argentinians more often, I'm not talking about the best football player in history, but right now, and ask anyone here in Argentina, is Ronaldinho, 90% of Argentinians are going to anwer that!

the word in english in "cocky" or "arrogant" but I don't feel ofended, 'cause everyone has their own opinions. If the whole world was thinking the same way it would be kinda boring...
But here in Argentina it's like that River is kinda the "elite" and Boca is the "popular" (also because of the teams neighborhoods) and I don't think Boca's players are cocky since the goalkeeper Roberto "el pato" Abbondanzieri wants to go back to his little town with his family when he retires... and well, a lot of things more but it's like, this is not a place to talk about football players lives.
This was a non-tennis thread that was created because the tennis topics are always mixed and we don't want "off topic" posts! but still, it's a forum, not a chat room!

Thanks Daniela!
I'm not really a fan of the holiday either. Its a commercial holiday just for people to buy presents for their wives/girlfriends to show how much they are in love I don't think you should have just one day to show that you love someone. I do like the chocolate though, but that's really it. (Perhaps if I was with someone at the moment it would be different, but I don't think so).

Since I have just found this thread, I have many things to say. Firstly I agree with Daniela, Valentine's Day is just a holiday to help make money for big businesses .
As for Ronaldinho being the best player in the world, well maybe but if it was not for Puyol, Barca would win nothing, he is very important. By the way, Shevchenko is definitely one of the best.
And about River or Boca, both clubs are very good, the best player is the Boca goalkeeper, Abbondanzieri, but these are not the best teams in Argentina. The best are Newell's Old Boys (Rosario), if they still had Rosales and Ponzio, they would win the legue . They will win the Copa Libertadores anyway, after winning 2-0 against Union Espanola on Tuesday night. Two goals for Ignacio Scocco.
