In the second round of the Medibank International in Sydney, Richard will take on Russian Dmitry Tursunov.

Tursunov progressed to the second round with a straight sets victory over Doha finalist Stanislas Wawrinka. The World No. 35 reached the quarterfinals in Doha last week, losing out to Nikolay Davydenko.

Richard and Tursunov have played once before, in the Davis Cup quarterfinals in 2006 when Tursunov prevailed in five thrilling sets.

The match will take place on Wednesday Down Under, with the pair first out on Centre Court. Play begins at 11am local time.
