The draw for the Davis Cup quarter-final between Russia and France was made on Thursday. Paul-Henri Mathieu will open up for France against Nikolay Davydenko.
The tie will be played in Moscow this weekend.
Richard will also play singles for France. He is second up on Friday against Mikhail Youzhny.
On Saturday, the doubles will be competed between Andreev/Safin and Grosjean/Llodra.
Sunday will then see the reverse singles with Richard first up against Davydenko, then Mathieu vs. Youzhny.
