This week the tour moves to Miami, for the second Masters event of the year. Richard is seeded 15 for the Sony Ericsson Open and in the first round has been awarded a bye.

In the second round, Richard will face either Davis Cup team mate, Sebastien Grosjean or Martin Verkerk.

Richard is in the top half of the draw, and the same quarter as Roger Federer.
