Richard's Pacific Life Open run came to an end yesterday at the hands of Andy Roddick. The final result was 7-6(3), 6-3.

Richard and Benneteau are still alive in the doubles though. They will face Dlouhy/Skoch on Wednesday. The match is scheduled for last on Stadium Court 2. See Wednesday's order of play here

It was a match of few chances last night. Both players served well and Roddick had just one break point all match on Richard's serve, and he was able to capitalise on it.

As Roddick served 15 aces, Richard had no chances to break the American's serve.
