Richard recorded his first career win over Arnaud Clement today. Coming back from a set down, Richard finished in fine form with a 6-7(6). 6-4, 6-1.

In the final he will face the un-seeded Marc Gicquel.

Another solid serving display with 12 aces saw Richard overcome the talented Clement. Richard also played aggressively on the Clement second serve, winning over half the points.

This will be the first meeting between Richard and Gicquel. It is also Richard's first appearance in the final of Lyon and he will be gunning for his third title of the year!
