The draw for the Open de Moselle, in Metz was made yesterday. Richard, who is playing his first tournament since the US Open, is seeded second, and in the first round he will face Karol Beck.
Beck is coming into the tournament off an oustanding Davis Cup weekend, which saw the Slovak Republic reach the Davis Cup final.
Richard has never played Beck in an ATP or Grand Slam event.
The tournament will see Richard and the many other French players in the draw receive much home support.
