Richard played a lot of tennis recently. After his final in Montpellier he went directly to Rotterdam where he lost in the second round to Tomas Berdych. His next event is Marseille.

Richard beat two compatriots to reach the final in Montpellier. He beat Kenny de Schepper 6-2 5-7 6-4 and Benoit Paire 6-2 6-2. In the final, he lost to Alexander Zverev 6-7 3-6.

Viktor Troicki was Richard's victim in Rotterdam. While Richard could beat the Serb 6-4 6-2, he lost 6-7 1-6 to Tomas Berdych.
