Richard will play the winner of Berdych/Bellucci in the Shenzhen final.

Richard is getting back to form. In Shenzhen he destroyed the Australian qualifier Andrew Whittington 6-1 6-0 before overcoming the rare species of a serve/volley player, namely M.Zverev. Richard showed all his passing and returning skills in his 7-6 7-6 win against the German.

Richard played solidly against Janko Tipsarevic who retired after being 2-6 1-4* down.
