Seemingly tired and lacking lightness in his feet, he suffered a defeat aginst a well-playing Marcos Baghdatis on Thursday. Richard did not retire from the doubles, but the French combo lost to the homeboys de Bakker/Huta Galung 4-6 6-3 7-10.
