Roddick Stops Richard

Richard lost his QF in Brisbane against Andy Roddick 3-6 6-7(5).

In the first set in which Richard seemed not to believe 100% in himself, though he saved 7 breakpoints, Roddick broke him once to win 6-3.

The second set was very competiitve. Both players were untouchable on serve. Richard was twice a minibreak up in the TB and might particularly regret that missed dropshot at 2-0. Roddick took the set on a most rare BH error from Richard, as his BH was outstanding through the match. Richard's next tournament is Sydney.
