After Richard has been completely cleared by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on 17 December 2009, he can fully focus on the upcoming season.

Various sources indicate that he will play a number of tournaments during the South American clay season in February 2010, obviously wishing to improve his game on this surface and to do well in Roland Garros. In the near future, it will be Brisbane, Sydney and the Australian Open, though. Richard will leave for "down under" on 28 December 2009.
