Mardy Fish will be Richard's first round opponent in Wimbledon 2008. The two players never met before.

Richard is seeded number 8, which is slightly better than his current ranking, thanks to his great run there last year when he beat Andy Roddick in an epic and beautiful five-setter which all his fans will remember with delight.

Richard is in the lower half of the draw in Nadal's quarter.
