Richard won through to the Rogers Cup final today with a straight sets victory over Scotland's Andy Murray 6-2, 7-5.
Richard put in another exemplary performance on Saturday as he brushed aside Andy Murray for his spot in Sunday's final. Where the Scot couldn't find a first serve, Richard was clocking up a healthy percentage which served him well throughout.
Richard was able to capitalise on Murray's unforced errors and poor serving to break him three times on his was to a 6-2 first set (yes, there was a slight hiccough along the way).
Richard then continued his good form through the second set. He kept the ball in and had moments of brilliance and at 6-5 this was enough to topple Murray as he broke him to claim the match 6-2, 7-5.
In Sunday's final he will face either Roger Federer or Fernando Gonzalez. Make sure you stay tuned for all the latest!
