Richard reached the forth round of Wimbledon where he will play against the winner of Isner/Tsonga.
In the first round Richard dispatched Aljaz Bedene 6-3 6-4 6-3. The match was tougher than the score looks as the Brit put up quite some resistance.
Against Marcel Granollers, Richard lost the first set and had to work very hard to level things up. The final sets were clearly in Richard's favour and he scored a 4-6 7-5 6-3 6-1 victory.
The match against Albert Ramos-Vinolas had the same pattern. Richard did not start well and lost the first set 2-6. He hold on and imposed himself in the breaker. In the third set, the Spaniard was no match for Richard. The match was interrupted due to darkness. On the following day, Richard showed no signs of a slow start, he broke Ramos-Vinolas twice for a final 2-6 7-6 6-2 6-3 win.
