Richard scored a convincing 6-3 6-2 victory against Simone Bolelli and will play Tomas Berdych in the quarterfinals today.
Richard broke the Italian right at the start of the match, went up 3-0 quickly and never looked back. Without facing a breakpoint he won the first set 6-3.The second set was a copy of the first. Again, Bolelli was broken at the start, even twice. Richard lost one of the breaks in a poor game, but asserted himself quickly and won the three following games for a satisfying 6-3 6-2 win. His winners/UE count was 19/12, his serve percentage was 79 % for the whole match and the point difference was 23.
